INVITES UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES TO APPEAR IN RECRUITMENT RALLY FROM 04 NOVEMBER 2017 TO 06 NOVEMBER 2017 AT RAJIV GANDHI GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, ITANAGAR, ARUNACHAL PRADESH TO JOIN AS AN AIRMAN IN GROUP „X‟ (TECHNICAL) TRADES AND GROUP „Y‟ (NONTECHNICAL) {EXCEPT AUTOMOBILE TECHNICIAN, GTI, IAF(P), IAF (S), MED ASST AND MUSICIAN} TRADES FOR INTAKES




1. Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN CITIZENS from designated districts of state of Maharashtra to join as Airmen. The Recruitment Test for Group „Y‟ (Non-Technical) {for Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor, Indian Air Force (Police) only} Trades will be held at Moolji Jaitha College, Prabhat Colony, Jalgaon, Maharashtra – 425001 as per the Selection Programme given below.
2. Examination/Rally venue will be open from 0600h-1000h and the examinations will be conducted as per the details given below. Candidates (from designated districts of state of Maharashtra only as per schedule given below) fulfilling the domicile requirements and eligibility conditions and reporting up to 10 AM on 07 November 2017 at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.
Note: The Recruitment Test is not for selection as Commissioned Officers/ Pilots/Navigators.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
3. Date of Birth Block. Candidates born between 13 January 1998 and 27 June 2001 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally.
4. Educational Qualification. Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/
State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Note - 1: Boards recognized/affiliated by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) will only be permitted.
Note - 2: Exact aggregate % of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent OR calculated as per the rules of concerned Education Board will only be considered (For example 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not to be rounded off to 50%).
5. Domicile Requirement. To be eligible to appear in the rally at Moolji Jaitha College, Prabhat Colony, Jalgaon, Maharashtra, the candidates are required to satisfy the following conditions:
 (a) The School / College / Institute from where candidates have passed the qualifying examination should be within the geographical / administrative limits of designated districts (as specified in para 2 above) of state of Maharashtra. If the name of district is not mentioned with the name of Institution in the certificate / marks sheet of qualifying examination, the candidates are to produce „Domicile Certificate‟ issued by Revenue Department, Tehsildar/SDM/DM or any official authorized by the State Government of Maharashtra.
 (b) Permanent Domicile of designated districts (as specified in para 2 above) of state of Maharashtra who have passed the qualifying examination from anywhere in India are to produce the Domicile Certificate prior to commencement of examination from appropriate authority as given in sub-paragraph
5(a) above.
(c) Sons of serving Air Force personnel whose father/mother is presently serving in any Air Force Unit located in designated districts (as specified in para 2 above) of state of Maharashtra, irrespective of their domicile status, are permitted to appear in the rally subject to production of Son of Serving Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) Certificate (format available on AFNET CASB website).
 (d) Sons of Retired/Discharged/Deceased Air Force personnel residing in designated districts (as specified in para 2 above) of state of Maharashtra,are permitted to appear in the rally subject to production of proof of minimum stay of one year along with original and a photocopy of Discharge Book/Service Certificate issued from AFRO/DAV.
6. Medical Standards.
 (a) General Medical Standards are as follows: -
Ø  Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
Ø  Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Ø  Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
Ø  Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each earseparately.
Ø  Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
Ø  Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
 (b) Height, Leg Length, Visual Standards and Colour Vision are as follows:
7. Body Tattoo. Permanent body tattoos only on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist), back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of palm and Tribals with tattoos which are as per custom and traditions of their tribes only are permitted. However, right to decide on acceptability/ unacceptability of the individual rests with the Selection Centre. Candidates with permanent body tattoos are to submit a coloured photograph of the tattoo with details of size and type of the Tattoo at the rally venue.
8. Only Sikh candidates, whose religion prohibits the cutting of the hair or shaving of face of its member, will be permitted to grow hair and/or retain beard and moustache. Accordingly, those Sikh candidates willing to retain the same as per laid down specification are to get their photographs with beard and moustache.
9. Candidates discharged from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Any other Government Organisation are also eligible subject to their discharge with NO ADVERSE ENTRIES. Such candidate has to declare at the rally venue that he is an Ex-employee of the Organisation discharged from and produce original Discharge Certificate. In case of serving individuals they must be in possession of NOC from their employer at the time of Rally. If any candidate does not disclose the fact of being employed or that of being an Ex-employee, his candidature will be cancelled at any stage during the selection process. Candidates discharged from Indian Air Force for any reason are not eligible to appear in the rally.
10 . Writing Materials and Documents Required. Candidates are to bring the following:-
(a) HB Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener, Gum tube, Stapler and Black/Blue Ball Point Pen for writing.
(b) Seven un-attested recent (taken not before October 2017) passport size colour photograph (front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his Name and Date of Photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.
(c) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Matriculation Passing Certificate (required for Date of Birth verification).
(d) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent Examination Passing Certificate and Marks Sheet.
(e) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Domicile Certificate (or) Original and four self-attested photocopies of duly filled Son of Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) Certificate (format available on AFNET CASB webpage) for Sons of serving Air Force personnel (or) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Discharge Book/ Service Certificate issued from AFRO/DAV for Sons of retired/ deceased / discharged Air Force personnel.
(f) Candidates discharged from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Any other Government Organisation. Original and four Self-attested photocopies of Discharge Certificate (as issued from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Government Organisation).
(g) NOC in original and 4 self attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organization (if applicable).
(h) Original and four self-attested photocopies of NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate (if applicable).
Note. Under no circumstances the candidates will be permitted to appear in the Rally without Original Educational Marks Sheets/Passing Certificates & Documents mentioned above in paragraph 10 (c) to (g). However, candidates with photocopies of Educational Marks Sheets/Passing Certificates can be permitted to appear in the Rally only on production of a certificate from College/School Principal certifying that Educational Certificates/Marks sheets are deposited with College/School.

(j) Consent Form. (as per the format given below) Candidates are to bring the ―Consent Form’ to the Examination Venue and submit it before the Physical Fitness Test. Candidates below 18 years of age are to get the Consent form filled and signed by their parent/guardian. The candidates of 18 years of age and above can sign the consent form themselves.
